Ingredients
  

Fruits and Spices
  • 1 cup sliced apples preferably Granny Smith or Honeycrisp
  • 1 cup sliced oranges peeled and deseeded
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries can substitute with dried cranberries
  • 1 stick cinnamon or 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon whole cloves
  • 1 tablespoon whole allspice berries
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups water or enough to fill the pot

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan.
  2. Add water until the pot is filled.
  3. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  4. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 2 hours, adding more water as needed.
