  • 2 cups fresh blueberries or frozen
  • ½ cup sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch optional, for thickening
  • 1 cup water

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. In a saucepan, combine blueberries, sugar, and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Reduce heat and let simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. If using cornstarch, mix it with a little water to create a slurry, then add to the sauce to thicken.
  4. Stir in lemon juice and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving.
