Ingredients
- 4 skin-on salmon fillets (6 ounces each)
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons raw honey
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon or lime juice
- 2 cloves minced garlic
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, citrus juice, and minced garlic.
- Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure they are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 2 hours.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (375°F) or set your oven to broil.
- Remove salmon from the marinade (discard any leftover marinade). Grill for about 6 minutes per side or broil for about 8 minutes until cooked through.
- The internal temperature should reach at least 145°F. Serve hot with your favorite sides.
Notes
Marinate overnight for deeper flavor but avoid exceeding two hours to prevent mushiness.
For a twist, add fresh herbs like dill or parsley to the marinade.
Adjust cooking time based on thickness; thinner fillets will cook faster.
