Ingredients
- Salmon fillets (fresh or thawed frozen)
- Fresh asparagus
- Unsalted butter
- Garlic cloves (minced)
- Fresh herbs (parsley, dill, or chives)
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper
- Lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
- Trim the woody ends off the asparagus; place on one side of the sheet, drizzling with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Season the salmon on the other side of the sheet with salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
- In a saucepan, melt unsalted butter; add minced garlic and herbs until fragrant.
- Drizzle half the herb butter over the salmon; reserve the rest.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until salmon flakes easily and asparagus is tender.
- Serve with reserved herb butter drizzled on top.
Notes
For added flavor, marinate salmon in the herb butter for up to two hours before cooking.
Substitute olive oil with avocado oil for a different taste profile.
